This non-thematic issue, edited by Professor Tania Saba, is the 30th issue of Diversité urbaine available on Érudit.
This sustained publication record attests to the vitality of a field of research that has continually broadened its perspectives and addressed increasingly complex and sensitive issues with growing insight. Across thirty issues, the journal has published more than one hundred peer-reviewed articles by experienced research teams and a new generation of scholars in Quebec, across Canada, and internationally.
This editorial journey reflects the evolution of debates on diversity within research, institutions, and society. Research topics have expanded, analytical frameworks have grown richer, and fieldwork settings have become more varied. More than ever, research on diversity documents inequalities and offers institutions insights and avenues for action, contributing to more equitable representation and greater social justice. The present issue continues this tradition.
Diversité urbaine is launching a special issue dedicated to the theme of aging in the workplace. This volume is co-edited by Pierre Tircher, Assistant Professor at the School of Industrial Relations at the Université de Montréal and a regular researcher with the Quebec Network for Research on Aging (RQRV), the Centre for Research and Expertise in Social Gerontology (CREGÉS), and the Interuniversity Research Centre on Globalization and Work (CRIMT); and Marie-Ève Dufour, Full Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration at Université Laval, co-head of the Research Centre on Management, People and Organizational Development (CerG-DPO), and a member of the EDI2 Institute, the BMO Chair in Diversity and Governance, and the Research Centre on Health Services Management (CRGSS) at FSA ULaval.
